Siena Rising

During our two-week run in Tuscany, we spent some time in Siena. One afternoon,
while taking a stroll through the city, I found myself captivated by this view of the Duomo
rising above the old rooftops. It was an extremely warm day, and the steep hills of the
Via di Fontebranda made the walk a sweaty one. To make things even more interesting,
we got a bit lost in the maze of medieval streets, twisting and turning until we suddenly
came upon this vantage point. The effort was well worth it — the scene stopped me in
my tracks.
