Generations – Mother and Kit Red Fox

One of the most unforgettable moments in my backyard came when I discovered a mother fox with her three playful kits. Two of them tumbled and wrestled in the grass like mischievous brothers, while one little one — who I imagined was a girl — stayed close to her mother.

It was grooming time, and as the mother turned her head to watch over the chaos, the quieter kit sat still and looked straight through my lens. At first, I was sure the moment would vanish in an instant, but she held her gaze, calm and curious, long enough for me to press the shutter. It was a rare glimpse into the tender bond between a mother fox and her young, captured right in my own backyard.
