Carolina Wren on Garden Rail

I was sitting on the back deck with a cup of coffee when this little wren appeared, darting about like she owned the place. Her voice was astonishing—such a booming song from such a tiny bird! Wrens startle easily, and each time I moved, she would vanish into the brush. It took nearly an hour of quiet patience, but eventually I was lucky enough to capture her in a calm moment.
