Autumn Harvest – Squirrel with Acorn in Tree

I was out on a crisp fall afternoon, hoping to catch sight of migrating birds moving
through the preserve. The air was still, except for the occasional rustle of leaves above.
Suddenly, I heard a sharp, chattering call — a series of “kuk-kuk-kuk” sounds echoing
through the branches.

Looking up, I spotted the source: a squirrel stretched out across a tree limb, fully at
ease, feasting on his autumn treasure. He clutched it tightly, nibbling with the
determination only squirrels seem to have. The golden light filtered through the leaves,
catching the glint in his eye as if he knew he had put on a show just for me.
