The Shard & The Thames

Inside the Tower of London, most visitors pointed their cameras straight down through
the glass floors, capturing the view below. But I found myself drawn in a different
direction. Looking out across the Thames, I saw the Shard rising into the moody sky,
framed by the river winding through the city.

I knew it was the scene I wanted — not the obvious angle, but the one that told
London’s story of history meeting modern design. I rushed to frame the shot before the
light shifted, balancing the stormy sky against the glint of the glass tower. In that
moment, I captured the view that spoke to me: London’s past and present in a single
frame.
