Alpine Village with Church Tower – Heart of the Hills-min

While hiking through the Dolomites, I passed by Castelrotto at the edge of the Alpe di
Siusi. I had heard of the village before, but I wasn’t expecting such a striking view of the
Parish Church of Saints Peter and Paul with its onion-shaped dome rising above the
rooftops.

The sky was shifting quickly with heavy clouds, and for a moment I thought the light
would fade before I could capture the scene. I debated whether to keep moving or
unpack my camera. At the last second, I stopped, pulled it out, and framed the view.
The church tower stood tall against the backdrop of green hills and dramatic skies, and I
knew I had caught it just in time.
